Hey everyone!
I'm just about to buy a speargun (my first one), surfed trough several onlineshops and forums but still have no clue what to buy.
I'll hunt inshore (not in caves) using a snorkel, that's the only thing I know for sure so far. From my gut feeling, I'd rather go with a rubber band gun than with pneumatic guns.
From my hitherto research on the topic I'm pretty sure it will be a 100cm gun because they seem to be a promising compromise between agility, accuracy and power.
My shooting skills are pretty solid after estimated XX.XXX amount of rounds with every kind of firearms and a little experience with bows. So I think (hope
) I'll be able to max out the accuracy of my shots after some training.
I read that muzzle velocity can be increased by adding rubber bands, though I read that euro guns are infamous of not being able to withstand the pressure.
Which 'caliber' (shaft thickness) should I look for? I don't plan to hunt bigger fish than, lets say, max max 5- 10 Kgs for the beginning (if that can be called a 'beginning'
)
It should be an equivalent to Glock Pistols that I learned to appreciate- allrounders, rugged enough not to let you down when you have to count on it.
Prices vary a lot between models and i can't really find a big difference between them, I'd be really glad to get some advice about what and where to buy (onlineshops) and a price estimation.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers
Albert
