It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I may postulate, reasonable objections verify intense negative grounds.

Sometimes that's how it works out, Rick. It looks like I may be losing my job soon.

New Employment Gained - Adam's Trading In Vehicle Emissions. (trading emissions is all the rage now)

What is wrong with walking backwards into the waves KP? I find it alot easier than walking frontwards with fins on.

hi adam - for you it's fine - experienced freediver, comfortable in the water, able to handle getting rolled and self-rescue, and understanding of waves and water - no problem.

for a brand new OW diver of any age or size - it adds more task loading at a time that person doesn't need it, especially when they are barely familiar with all of their gear, and it's lots of gear when you're new. for a young 12 yr. old girl - chest high waves and no experience presents a bad situation which would be compounded by adding a "walk-in with your fins on" (and trip fall get smacked by a wave). IMHO that be a poor choice by the instructor because it offers the promise of a bad experience for someone new to the sport and adventure. which is exactly what you don't want.

so much easier to walk in with ankle biters, footing in tact to give confidence and facing forward to walk thru the break zone and then put fins on as she floats with all the buoyancy ability.

it's not my rule for always or for everyone - just a better practice for brand-new and inexperienced. :t

vehicle emissions have increased carbon levels exorbitantly.

which is why trading is all the rage rofl

but seriously enuff of the GW talk - this is what we should consider:

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean_acidification]Ocean acidification - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

much more pressing on our favorite place and activities - being in the ocean...

exorbitantly ... hmmm...

Extra xylophones on right back in there now! Thank you yolanda.

That was excruciatingly difficult. And just to be mean, the next one might actually be harder.

Planning long adventure -yup- eventually rafting streams.

My son and I will be vacationing in the Boundary Waters of N.E. Minnesota taking in some underwater site seeing the end of July. Should make for a great time. Anyone here ever been up that way? Were planning on using an Outfitter since we have not traveled this way before. Hope everyones summer plans are fantastic. See ya.

Rude Admirals founder terrible intoxicating nasty Grog !!

Apnea diving makes insanity really apparent - look selfward.

BatRay - I'm really sorry to hear that. You'll find another gig.

KP - I agree with you about the fins off entry - especially in 2-3 feet of surf. Fortunatley, my buddie's daughter is VERY comfortable in the water, and had no problems throughout the weekend. Her buddy (girl, same age) did show some frustration at the beach dive (chest high to a 12 yr old girl is a bit lower than chest high to most adults). But she did well on the boat - despite an incident with another student, in another class.

Yep, still ok here except for the horrible air quality. I live far from any of the fires that are currently burning.

Nutcakes undertook massive burnouts Saturday, knocking unhappy ladies left.
