Hey guys and gals, not sure where to put this, but I just wanted to probe the issue of online shopping. You all know there is a million and one places to buy gear online, some closer to where you live, some having goods priced lower (or whatever criteria you prefer when shopping online). Online shopping has benefits in that it open up a wider assortment of goods that would or may not be otherwise available to you locally.

Now so far, my online shopping experiences have been quite diverse, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any :rcard bad experiences they'd like to share, perhaps to enlighten or forewarn those who haven't done it, or purchased from particular companies.

What inspired this thread is a recent attempt to buy something from 123scuba.com and that the person there withheld reciept of my order for three days, then said they wanted me to pay with westernunion.com- to which westernunion told me that they don't send money to sellers and that it was probably a fraud. :naughty

(still on the hunt for very very small 5mm/7mm socks)...

Your thoughts?!

Sorry to hear about the bad experience. My only negative experiences have been on ebay, and that depends on the seller/buyer that you're working with. I've had very nice experiences with the DB store though. :)

I have purchased from 123 scuba with no problems but when you are unsure
look at the bottom and use a toll free number if thats avalible (first). I personally learn quit a bit by talking in person. Most do have an 800 number.
You might even find yourself talking to a Deeper Blue member :)
