Hello Everyone,

I just purchased the Aeris F.10 Freedive, but neither the dealer who sold it to me nor Tech Support at Aeris can tell me how to return the second counter to 0.00 seconds to begin a second dive. The watch just continues on the second dive adding seconds to the seconds it recorded for the first dive. Does anybody know how to reset the dive-time seconds counter to 0.00?

Thanks.

Have a look at this thread, specifically at the post #5, and reduce the BDSI (Between Dive Surface Intervale). Or make your surface intervales a bit longer. It is not very safe staying on surface less than 2-3 times your last dive time anyway (unless you train hypercapnic tables intentionally).

Welcome to DB from Texas! Trux is a very knowledgeable mentor. Watch your surface intervals to return heart-rate, oxygen v. carbondioxide levels to normal; and just to retain a clear frame of mind. Push but not too hard. All electronics and machinary aside--learn your own body and limits. I've found that to be the best metric around--especially when you're my age. :blackeye

Thanks, Trux, and to everyone else who welcomed me. Tech Support was able to tell me about BDSI and I reset it to 0.01 seconds from 1:00 minute. That was the problem. Thanks for the link and warning. I don't believe I push myself.

Joe

Well, recovery times below one minute are not really safe (unless we speak about intentional hypercapnic training), but hopefully you know what you do. Remember anyway to keep your recovery times 2-3 times the dive time, and stay in rest during that time (best with no finning). No hyperventilation, of course. It will pay back with better safety, and longer dives.
