V2 has more "Pure freediving" features. I don't remember which ones, but when I asked, I concluded that for spearfishing, V1 has everything you need.
there are some threads here already comparing the two. the V2 is improved and in some senses simplified. To enter "free" mode now you hit a button, and it stays there for 2 hours unless you leave. The adjustable activation depth and "new dive" intervals are very cool for pool work. The V1 still works fine, but of course, the V2 is better.
