Here is the information we received regarding the effected regulator 1 Stages.

AERIS REGULATOR VOLUNTARY RECALL
You recently purchased an Aeris regulator and as part of the continuing extended service we at Scuba.com want to inform you of a notice we just received from Aeris.
All Aeris regulators with an AT400 first stages that were sold between:
May 1, 2006 – October 22, 2007.
Aeris has notified Scuba.com that they have received isolated reports of AT400 first stages exhibiting uncontrolled flow of air to the Second Stage.
Evaluation has shown that a specific batch of High Pressure Seats contained material that can deteriorate and fail to properly perform its mechanical sealing (shut off) function, causing an uncontrollable free flow which could result in serious injury to or death of the user.
In cooperation with the U. S. CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission), Aeris is initiating a voluntary recall of all affected AT400 First Stages.
Identifying Serial Numbers
NOTE: Due to the random nature utilized to assign serial numbers to First Stages, there is only a small quantity of affected units within the large range of serial numbers. Since the extent of listing the actual serial numbers of all affected units would be impractical and not user friendly, Aeris has created a data base on the Aeris web site that product owners can easily access to determine whether a specific First Stage is affected and if it has received the retrofit.
To determine if you have a affected unit simply go to Aeris HP Seat Retrofit
If you have an affected unit, you must discontinue further use of it and take it to your local Authorized Aeris Service Center, for a component retrofit at no charge.
Should you have any questions, please contact Aeris’s toll free Recall Help line at (888) 854-4960 or locally at (510) 562-0500 between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday Pacific Time.
If you no longer own the Aeris regulator with AT400 first stage, please forward this letter to the new owner or have them contact us.
