High tide was a 5pm today and I was unsure what conditions would be like so late in the day.At home it started clouding up and got pretty dark so I didn't think there would be much light.but heading south it cleared up nicely.Viz was better than last time at 6 to 8 feet and a little cloudy.I started working the first dock and only saw a few fish so I moved on to a spot that holds more fish,It's a private dock 60ft or so long with a reed roof hut at the end ,I always get something there.Swimming up to the dock I noticed the music was playing out on the end but I didn't see a soul, then I noticed a older man sitting at a table with a way young women on the other side from him.I couldn't see anything but the back of her head until about four drops later she moved to the other side of the table and she was topless.Trying not to get to distracted I moved to the end of the dock and worked the pillings arranged in a hexagon shape in 25 foot of water,I saw two big schools of spadefish and some lookdowns but nothing legal.I moved to the next dock and had no luck there just a small sheephead so I started heading back.On the way back I noticed the man and lady moved over to the pool and the lady was a nude as the day she was born(sweet ;) ). Since it was getting dark a skipped the next dock and stopped at another on closer to my exit,I got of my boogie board float before I reached the dock so not to spook the fish and mid way at 10 feet I saw a monster sheep swim away only to have a mangrove snapper right next to him. As he saw me he swam around the back of the piling and I mved my gun to the other side of the piling hoping he would swim out to take a look at me and he did,I fired and hit him midbody and stoned him .I was very suprised to see one this big inshore in jax,it's small compared to the ones shot offshore but over legal size and 180degrees from the 4 inch ones I see around.I only got one but it came with some fringe
benifits so I was pretty stoked with it . I plan on going in the mourn as hightide is at 7 pm. Aj

What more could a boy want, a feed of fish and a Perv on a nude babe

I planned to go that next mourning but slept in instead. The water in the summer here gets warm and some fish move offshore to cooler water but that weekend a front came thru and the water temps went down from the upper 80f to 77f .I work right on the water and i've been watching it get clearer the last couple of days at high tide so i'm really wanting to give it another go this sunday. The first thing my wife said was"all you got was one"
I didn't tell her the rest of the story.Maybe my luck will be better ;) .

Well I made it out this afternoon and it was a repeat of last weekend minus the girl.In the gulf mangroves are always seen together atleast I always see them in groups but here in jax they seem to be more solitary as I only see one here and there.I saw more legal ones this time so maybe as the water gets cooler it will get better.

Good deal! The currents must be pretty light if you're hunting around docks. In some places in California, the docks are avoided like the plague.
