For those that have these guns, how heavy underwater are they, do they have a muzzle heavyness to them, what are your thought sabout these guns, are they much different than the carbon competition or regular Venoms?

What about adding a RA real, will make it harder for swinging and tracking, they look fantastic and im thinking of getting one but would like to know more about them say in comparison to Rob Allen or Mako or others, thanks.

I am a HUGE fan of Rick and his Aimrite guns...the guy has an unparralelled level of commitment to his production quality, warranty, and skill as a shooter. I have several of his guns for reef and mid-range hunting and they are very light in the water and deadly accurate. HOWEVER...when it comes to serious blue water monster hunting I am a fan of mid-handle enclosed track guns that are weighted and ballasted for reduced recoil and muzzle lift. The punch factor is as different as a heavy weight contender vs a quick feather weight.! Euro style/rearhandle designs, once you get too long (120cm+) are just too slow for quick tracking. Ricks super venoms are awesome guns for strength, power, and accuracy. For euro style guns you can't go wrong. And the dedicated network of Rick's commitment to his guns will be well worth your money. The RA reel is what I have on my venom (again mine is a 110 for reef and mid-range hunting...deadly accurate!!!) and made for the gun! For a serious blue water fast tracking gun i would suggest a mid-handle. Although guys are taking down serious fish with euros, it takes two hands to manuever the long barrel of a long rear-handle/euro style gun. For a teak mid-handle, wedge styled enclosed track custom I would reccomend another Big Island craftsman named Bobby Abril...this guy builds cannons like Darryl Wong, only more affordable! The super venoms that I have shot are incredible! Again, big euros are not my preference, but the 130 I shot was balanced beautifully. The reel does not interfere with the tracking as much as the actual length of the barrel/rear handle design does. I would drop the money on an aimrite over any other euro hands down! I might suggest (I will deny this for liability reasons!) that you remove the safety assist that he installs on these handles...it makes loading the shaft a bit easier and quiker with out it. Hope this all helps!
