Recently when doing my tables , towards the last few holds i have been experiencing air squeaking past my epiglottis and into my mouth . I try really hard to concentrate and lock the epiglottis tight shut but this ruins my relaxation and stil i get the odd bit of air creeping past. I obviously have the ability to close it, but it seems to tire after a few breatholds. Any advice ? Thanks

Sometimes it's easier to hold it in your mouth and sometimes you will be able to relax better by letting a little out. I've seen a few good statics when a diver lost a lot of air 80-90 % on time. Sometimes anything to get comfortable is worth it.

In static I tend to switch between epiglottis hold & mouth hold according to comfort, this way is more relaxed for me and prevents me fighting against the breath hold, remaining more relaxed.
