Algarve spearfishing 'Buddy' wanted.....

I live full time near Portimao and especially as I'm new to spearfishing I'd like to team up with a spearo buddy for safety, advice and mutual encouragment. If you either live in the algarve or holiday here please feel free to get in touch......Chris

I'm planning to go to Portimao on mid of October. Would be nice to find Spear-fisher in that location
Now the plan is to go to Estrela Do Vau hotel.
If it's fine by you, can give confirmation, when I will have everything booked

Hi, thanks for getting in you touch. As I said I'm new, in fact with the summer holidays and everything I haven't got around to getting my gear yet other than a prescription mask and snorkel but hope to get my act together by October and perhaps your coming will be an incentive. Anyway I know some places where people S/F regularly round here though I'm told Sagres and the west coast are better but more risky for a beginner as the seas are more wild. I am away in UK 19th - 23 Oct. but would be happy to meet up at other times and give any local knowledge I can

Just booked a hotel for 15-26 of October. It's a pity, that almost all the time you will be in UK. But we con go at least few times to try We can exchange contact info in PM and do the planning, if you don't mind. Very excited about this trip, just afraid how will be with my spear-gun in airport. Will check this.

I'm currently visiting praia da rocha and have all my spearfishing gear, I am a divemaster but ....a true rookie or novice when it comes to spearfishing.

I would love to get some experience! If you want a buddy, please let me know.

I am here till Oct 1st and FREE for spearfishing.

I will be in Faro from the 29th of august til 2nd of september. I am looking for a buddy between the 30th and the 1st september. I am coming from Corsica and bring a bit of experience with me. I will bring almost everything stuff one is needing to spear fish with me.

damn. I will be In algarve at 20th to 29th of September, and also am looking for people/info etc to dive/spear etc with. I wont be spearing with anything but my camera though. too much hassle bringing the big spike.
Radmou, please post up after your trip there with any advice you have on the area once you have been there. and have a good trip.
 
I will try to do it, if I found someone. Maybe I will go alone, I know is not good, but I already spent more than 10 hours alone in the Caribbean/Atlantic. The stream was powerful there! Actually I prefer to find a buddy, but I could try alone there. I just need to know some good spots there...
