Life in Iraq is tough. Men get sick, have accidents, get killed, etc. Some of the Gurkhas working out in Iraq, in fact the majority, are over 45 years old.

I will withhold names on this one, but the email chain was hiliarious. Sometimes people try to write in all seriousness, and it doesn't come out right.

See below.. rofl (just excerpts from long emails.. read the last one carefully)

First email received (ouch):
Re: MR X.
Background information:
The above gentleman has testicular hydrocele. The patient is currently in Iraq and wishes to be operated in Nepal.
SOSX was advised to check feasibility and treatment costs at Kathmandu, Kuwait, Delhi and other suggestions in addition to these places.
etc..

Next email:
Please confirm whether his condition is due to natural causes or is this due to an accident? Having looked his condition up, I suspect that this is a natural cause’s case and he is one of our older men…..
rofl

Next email:
A hydrocele often occurs for no known reason. The patient did not indicate that it was as a result of trauma. He is fully ambulatory, though in some pain, for which the medic has given him oral pain relief.

:ban

Question: would you like to a be medic in Iraq? Or the Patient? rofl
