hello all my fabulous bubbly and non-bubbly friends! How's it all going then? i trust the girls are still perky and the boys are still hanging where they should be.
i am back in Dubai, after a laborious two years work in Abu Dhabi (never again, no thank you!) and its fabulous to be back to all the unfinished towers of offices and mounds of empty apartment blocks. At least its a smog and dust storm I am used to and its great to be back in all the old haunts...
Since about May work started getting very hectic, people were monitoring everything we did at work, I had a show villa to finish and spent all my time looking at interiors and negotiating deals with great suppliers whom I knew were never going to get paid (that's very stressful by the way as I had to live the lie of my company and tell people about our fantastic project of 80 luxury villas of which we were only building 12...), and the boss at the time was looking for any excuse to fire us all. Finally they did, made us redundant and a week later after being made redundant I was told i needed a major operation. I also had to move out of the company apartment by end of June and find a place in Dubai, have my op, and also look for work.
4 weeks after my operation, just recovering from having the stitches out :crutch I started work again, and teaching scuba to get some lost money back, and took on a dive centre at weekends as a favour to a friend on honeymoon for five weeks, and nearly put myself back into the same miserable stressful sorry state I was in before I got made redundant. My time online was thin, the odd email to the family and the odd facebook status done mostly from blackberry but never the time to peruse, read and participate like before.
jayramble is great, we have been to the Maldives for my 40th birthday and just got back from a quick week in South Africa to see my fam damily which was also awesome, went to a game reserve and had some very close encounters with elephants (no podge, its not what YOU think rofl )

) .... and would like to catch up, who's doing who, who would like do who, and who's doing it underwater and where are the photos???
