Aloha!

Howzit everybody. Im new to deeper blue. Just a small time spearfisherman. Spent 20+ years going up and down the coastlines of the Big Island and Maui, Hawaii. The biggest fish I ever speared is probably less than 15 pounds. Nevertheless, I get deep pleasure from grabbing tako and lobbies, poking some fat uhu, and will fry up yellow eye Koles and menini in a minute. I like to stay in the water for 2-4 hours at a time and will swim a few hundred yards out if there is good reef and the conditions are right. I only freedive when I'm poking fish and enjoy it immensely. It's my favorite thing to do.

My main reason for getting on deeperblue is I am planning a trip to Brazil and want to stay in a place where I can jump in the water and start hunting with some Shoreline/Coastal diving, no boats. I have seen tons of spearfishing recommendations online for boats that go out to certain places. But I cannot seem to find a single solid recommendation for some Shoreline/Coastal action in Brazil. I can stay anywhere on this trip and prefer ocean to river. If anyone can help me find the right spot I will be greatly appreciative.

Mahalo Nui!
