Welcome from Texas! Lots of DBers from your neck of the woods.

DBers: Those of us on the DeeperBlue community!

Rite on man... sorry, alittle slow sometimes. Hows the diving in your area, do you get to do much spearfishing.

When work, family, tides, weather, and viz allow for the 3 hour drive to the Gulf of Mexico. I spear all the time in my daydreams. :head

Thats a bummer, is it good tho on the when you finally make it. What kind of fish do yo guys get over there.

whats up bluewater_86 Im on Maui too. which side are you on? I live in Lahaina.

Offshore open water - Dorado (Mahi Mahi), cobia, amberjacks, 'cudas

Oil rigs - variety snapper, grouper, sheepshead, AJ's, cudas, cobia, spadefish

Nearshore - spades, sheepshead, mutton snapper, mullet, flounder, black drum & the occassional snook (not legal but have seen shot by accident).

We can't shoot cobia, mackeral (King or Spanish), or any "Game fish" inside 9 miles which is Texas State waters. Outside is Federal.

blaze what up man its me Jon. Im over on the big I rite now my phone isnt workin all the time. Just went out to the lines this morning for the first time with josh and kurt and man its nothing like the diving we do. No current no wind all day, you believe that.

Yeah Jon! Lets see some big numbers! Hope all goes well, give me a ring when you get a chance.

Hey, Bluewater 86. I might be making a trip to HI in Jan or Feb - how is the freedive spearfishing that time of year? I could visit any island, would like to find some spots with good hunting that I could access from shore or a kayak. Looking for a place I could go every winter for a few weeks, maybe even a few months, with good water some fellow spearos to hang with.

Hey whats up man,
Yea no prob, if you make it to Maui you should definitely look me up. The winter time is usually wen we get most of our north swells so that really limits the areas of diving to the south shore, but there are definitely some good spots there as well.
