I have been in touch with a Spearfishing company that makes AB gauges, to see if they could shrink a 10" AB gauge to 6.5" for our needs (Dungeoness Crab).

Hello Colin,
We would be more than happy to get a 6.5" gauge going for you. I have designed a 6.5" and enclosed it as an adobe pdf file. If you print this file out, it will print to scale and you can tell me if you think the design needs to be modified for your specific needs. The minimum for a custom order is $75.00 (includes 5 gauges).
Maybe you have some friends to help distribute the cost.

PDF file is attached

Let me know if I can help you further.

Anyone interested? these are made of aluminum, and I'm working on sourceing a spot to have them Anodized (helps with Corosion). the plastic ones are cumbersome, and are to "busy" for my liking. these are simple and strong. they require 5 for a custom order, so works out to $15us each. I only need one, so would like to find 4 others to go in with.

I can't view pdf files on the computer that I have access to at the moment. Is this basically just to measure crab to make sure they are legal?

yup. take a look at the link for the company, it is very simmilar to the AB gauges they offer

I'm still game to get one of these!

any of the above posters still interested?

Still in for one. Any thought as to how we could use it/include the red rocks?
