I found this thread on the WSF forum - usual misunderstanding about spearfishing but a photo of an Irish Spearo has been uploaded and some unfavourable comment specifically about him. Something for them to be aware of I think -

A good constructive response Bobdonny, I think you have changed some opinions for the better. In your case it shows that for you there is no them and us mentality (angler vs spearo) as you practice both and it is important to note that there are bad eggs in everything.
