Andre spearguns?

I've seen a few here and there .Suppose to be a less exspensive alternative to riffe but i'm not sure if they build there own mechs or use someoneelses.
They look pretty nice though.

I have one, stock is solid teak, so far it straight I've used a few times I don't have any thing to complain about. I wish the band hole was big enough to put one 20 mm band instead of two 16 mm.
The trigger mechanism works well, just like my yokooji, the handle nice and confortable with a nice grip as well.

I will be the Andre rep when they come here to the US (that's my site mentioned above). There are currently a few of the guns being used in and around Hawaii, and I have even seen some on ebay lately. Right now, the triggers and handles are the most sought after and are available in numerous dive shops.

As far as the quality, I have been using my Andre Gold 100 for reef diving and my Platinum 165 for bluewater here in Hawaii. The reef gun has served me well and has been USED heavily (loaned to alot of visiting divers). In fact, I almost had the State of Hawaii Omilu record recently with it.

The triggers are made by Andre in his shop. They use standard Riffe style shafts. In fact, I got my last 2 shafts direct fom Julie Riffe and they worked perfectly. Seems that in some of our earlier prototypes, some complained of the shafts being hard to fit without pulling the trigger to help seat it. But, that has been addressed.

I have the Gold 145 and have nothing bad to say about it. It shoots very accurately and has tons of power with the three 5/8 bands loaded to a 60" 9/32 shaft, it shoots rather on point up to the length of my line about 20ft. I picked it up for a nice price and am very happy overall with it .

I've been using the Platinum 165 for my Bluewater adventures her ein Hawaii and it so burly and durable that it is usually the gun I loan to fellow divers since i don't have to worry about them breaking it. Even if they did, it won't break the bank to replace.

I also have a Gold 100 which isn't made anymore and that was my main reef gun before stepping into the 110 size range. Again, it is a loaner gun now.
