Hey Guys,

I might be transferred by my company to Luanda Angola.

Has anybody been in Angola and dived there?

What game fish can I expect?

Thanks

Gerhard

Contact Calliecal she has a friend Paul Bevis (NSRI) who has is doing commercial work there.

I might know someone who knows someone who can help you, depends on what it's worth to you :D Only kidding...

What's the story? Have you moved there? And dived yet?

I believe it's a pretty dirty place to live so be sure to scope it out good and proper before buying propery... Location, location, location :)

They are cleaning up the place and there's a lot of positive stuff happening in the area. Not so positive is the bribery and corruption. And be sure that you have a permit for everything you do. My mate didn't have a work permit to do manual labour (they were diving, laying fibre-optic cable) and was nearly arrested for unloading the truck....

Otherwise I'm told the diving is simply out of this world. It's a little tough to find operators who will take you out to a dive site but if you happen to have a boat and your own compressor, along with all your own equipment then you can pretty much SCUBA dive anywhere. I have some pics on my computer back home, I'll post them as soon as I get back from holiday.

As for the accessibility of sites, shore entry dives, what's around and laws etc for shooting fish, I'm not sure but can find out for you. The guys are back there now so I'll ask them to find out what they can related to spearing for you.
