I'm 29 from Malta (small island south of Sicily). Mediterranean sea all around ...and never more than 20 minutes drive away. (Malta is VERY SMALL indeed). However, still a newbie regarding spearfishing.....in fact I went down about 10 times till now ...and got hooked on it!! (Even though the Med doesn't quite offer as much as any Ocean.
I have been visiting the forum during the past month and must thank you other spearos for all the information I learnt from all posts.
Just returned from a week in Gozo - where I practised more and more ....Must confess, I need new equipment as mask and fins have seen better days. My Euro gun (a Beginner Beuchat Cavallero) was handed over to me by my wife's father ...and I decided to give it a try. I think I'll stay with it for some time till I've learnt a bit more and then progressively move on to a better gun.
So keep posting guys, it's places like these that make us beginners want to know more, and get the courage and knowlege to try better tactics. Thanks for all the help!! :wave
