I'm going to buy a Cressi Apnea 5mm, but don't know which size I should pick, should I choose according to height, or weight?
My measurements, man, 189cm (6' 2") tall, 83kg (183lbs), around 100cm (39") chest, 90cm (35") waist and 95cm (37") hips.
Cressi size chart: https://www.cressi.com/easyUp/file/WetSuitsSizeChart.pdf
Size L seems correct by weight
Size XL seems correct by height and some of the other dimensions

Any pointers on which to go with?

Many thanks!

size large should fit you, just bought the same wetsuit and did a dive yesterday with it on. One tip is to spray the inside of the wetsuit with conditioner the first time you use it as it can initially be hard to get on but by your second dive you will not have to bother with conditioner as the wetsuit will have stretched to your body shape and so will be easier to get on

We generally recommend that the diver place more emphasis on the weight, than the height. If you end up with a suit that has slightly shorter sleeves or ankles, you can probably make it work - more so than a suit which is "baggy" and allows excess water to enter or be retained.

Thank you both Brochman and MAKO Spearguns. I ended up buying Large and it fits great, doesn't seem short or tight in any way and it almost behaves like a dry suit, pretty much no water gets in yet its not difficult to put on (though I have been using conditioner each time, will try without next time). So I couldn't be happier. Hope this also helps out others wondering the same thing!

More advice... Don't skimp on the suit lube. It enhances comfort, reduces stress to the suit when putting it on and taking it off.
