I also tried some other suggesting, like using smooth (non-granular) Toothpaste to scrub off the film on the inside glass.
This worked very well . . . Fog Free for a 40 minute swim !!!

My diving is in 68 F or higher. Much colder might be different, but , in those temps, antifog solution is just one more unnecessary thing to have with you.
Spit works fine. You just have to make sure the glass has no residue left on it.

Every local dive shop has a spray bottle of a baby shampoo solution on their boat for anti fogging. It is THE way to go. I keep the little shampoo bottles from hotels and refill them with baby shampoo and throw one in every dive bag I have. And then it’s easy to frequently give them away to visitors. Water temps in Costa Rica are mostly 82ºF all year round.
