any good spots around christchurch

Hi everybody

I am planning a trip to to NZ to visit relatives at some point during 2011
and when i am there i also want to go spearfishing
is there any one who knows good spots around christchurch or maybe
some local spearfishers who wants to show a spearfisher from the other side of the world (Denmark) what there is to catch in NZ
also it would be nice to know what time of the year is best for the different kind fish
