Hi everyone, im heading to the south of france in october november time, to the gulf of leon, martega, i looked at the map it looks beautiful, im gonna check it out on google earth shortly but has anyone been there before, does anyone know any info on spearfishing in that part or the south of france, does one need a licence, laws, any fish types, It would really help me out

Well, I can tell you that the South of France is definitely beautiful, but unfortunately I have not been fishing there. I do know that for the most part they are going to require a picture on the license, and not all places that sell licenses will take photographs, so you may want to be ready with one. Don't know the laws to the t, but if they enforce their fishing laws like they do their traffic laws, which is pretty much not at all, then it really isn't a worry...
