Anyone into running? i just read "Ultra marathon Man" by Dean Karnazes - an amazing story about a guy who managed to run 226 miles in one go!
i've been doing a bit of running for 'pleasure' recently, but this guy takes the hobby to a new level. If i did it all again i would love to run the Western states 100!!! but it might take a lifetime caus i'm very slow lol. worth a read for anyone looking for motivation

My son went to high school with Dean Karnazes. I can't recall what his impressions were, so I looked him up on Wiki.

My son was a water polo player and swimmer, so I guess that's why I never heard of Dean until many years later when he became famous. Then my son said "oh yeah, I knew that guy."

I ran a few marathons in my late 30s and early 40s, but that is as far as I was willing to go.

thats cool Bill; Dean is certainly fast [and mad] but i have just seen that the new generation of 'young' runners are finishing the Western States 100mi run in like 21 hours! i have no idea how they do it!

Well i was into running and was crazy about marathon i guess things really change with time i somehow couldn't keep myself motivated.
And that became the reason behind my laziness. You should keep doing that as longer as you can.
