I tried the C4 Flap 80 this week in the ocean on westcoast in sweden and WOW they are amazing!
It felt like no effort at all and at first this made them feel slow but i was able to swim longer distances without any trouble, if you spearfish or want more power to get up from the deep then you might not like the flap 80 but go for one of the more stiffer flaps.

They say the flap gives better power because of the flap but i dont know if it makes a big change.

I actually am waiting for a pair of C4 Flap 30s now and i will compare it with the flap80 to see if there is big difference, i use the newest omer footpocket on the fins and they are nice.

Greetings from Fredrik in Sweden.

The C4 80s I ordered a while back just arrived and I got to try them out in the pool yesterday. They are incredible fins, even better than the matrix #3s I have been using for spearfishing (and I have been impressed by the matrix fins, too). The 80s are long and flexible, and provide a continuous push rather than a surge ahead with each kick.

I compared them to a pair of 30s a friend bought at the same time. The 30s felt more like the other freediving fins I have used (matrix, various plastics) - shorter and snappier than the 80s, still very efficient and maybe a better bet for spearfishing because of their shorter length.

I am a big guy (100kg) and in my opinion the 80s are plenty stiff enough for constant ballast and deep spearfishing (30m+). Perhaps not as efficient as a mono, but the best bifins I have tried. Closely followed, or perhaps equalled by, the 30s. Didn't get to try any 40s, would probably be too stiff for me anyway.

Incidentally, the C4s are made by C4, not Omer, although they often use the Omer footpockets. The worst fins I have ever tried were the Omer bat fins. This is only my humble opinion, but they felt like the most crude and cumbersome fins (or should I say, 'leg restraints') I had ever had the misfortune to wear.

Would be very keen to compare a Flap to the Falcon C4s some day, even if they do look a bit goofy.
