Hiya all, im looking at going out to the Eddystone for a few dives next year and im basically after some pointers as to what to expect as i've never dived around the stone before. I've been told theres a lot of tide there at times which is to be expected i suppose.

Is the vis very variable out there and what sort of size gun is preferable?

Also whats the geology like, are there many holes or is it mainly kelp covered reef with the odd small sandy patch?

Thanks Ian

Dave from Spearo is your man to ask; I know he's been out there loads. He took Gordon Ramsay out there and even he managed to shoot a bass rofl

I'd be interested to get out to Eddystone. Give me a shout if youre planning anything and would like another buddy.

I race a yacht and this year the skipper is trying a hard antifouling which need regular scrubs but Ive told him its cheaper to do it in fins and then have a little hunt. He's keen so when the spring comes I'll pm you as my last advert drew zero response.
My boat has sick engines but if I can get it running its a great dive platform. even has a cooker!! anyone good with yanmars out there?

I saw your previous post. I assumed that people had PM'd you... didnt realise you had no reply.
I'd be happy to help out.

Hey Doc

I saw you advert last time round, only missed it by a day though!rofl

I'll definatly keep an eye out for the next one.

Chris
