I'm loking to get a new 3mm for the Summer here is SoCal and was interested in this suit. Does anyone currently dive with it? If so what are your impressions?

What about the Black-Metalite lining? Does it really allow you to don the suit without soap?

And is it an open cell desgn on the inside?

Scott,

Did you end up getting the suit? I too am in the market for a 3mm but was looking to avoid soap'in up for the summer months. Let me know how it turned out.

I have the 5mm and I think that you should lube it before putting it on. Your fingers can go through the thing if you are not careful. The lube makes life a lot easier. With the 3.5mm, I would think that fingers could go through it much easier.
Apart from that it is a great suit.

hi guys

one of my diving buddies here in Aus has the 3.5mm suit, have to admit ot is very nice, the lining does allow you to put it on dry however you do have to be gentle! would still recommend using lube, much faster and easier. but like i said it goes on much easier than an open cell suit when dry.

Quite warm and very comfortable.

I have one here in Miami. Its warm when it needs to be, but not too warm so it can be used year round. Unfortunatly the long john part of the suit tore along the seams this week around the thigh area. The suit is very comfortable but after only two months of weekend only use the stitching seems to be coming loose.
Its a good suit comfortwise but I dont know too much about the durability.
