Anyone know how to make screw in bands?

Im trying to steel the old threads off my 20mm seatech rubbers and put them on new ones?

Off to Costa Rica so KINDA screwed!!!
????????????????????????????????????

Thanks

Merry Christmas everyone

I'm afraid it takes proper industrial machinery to do that.
An eventual plan B is to order muzzle screw in adaptors, then cut and tie bulk rubber to the adaptors, but that won't be easy nor cheap.
However, it's not necessary to go mad. Any Omer, Sporasub, H. Dessault, Top Sub and Mares bands will fit into the Seatec muzzle screws (not Cressi). Hope this helps, merry Christmas.

have tried, unsucessfully, many times.

the absence of screw in rubber is a major selling point when i am purchasing a speargun.

good luck!

Thats why i loooove RA! Takes seconds and cheaper!

I have tried Omer and too small same with picasso! Its a gabino...Does that mean anything in Itailan?

Fanx

I would definitely ditch the whole screw in rubber system and go with bulk rubber.... so much easier and cheaper in the long run. Obviously you don't want to get a whole new gun for this but the adaptors Spaghetti mentioned work great (but I disagree, they are very easy to use). I use them on my Omer, and lots of euro guns also have a hole at the muzzle you can put a continuous loop of rubber through too. All you need are the rubber, some brass bridle balls, dyneema for the bridle and constrictor cord. Buy it in bulk and it will keep for years.

Actually it is quite simple, It only takes a vise, a piece of string, a knife and a little beed. The real issue is where to get the screew tips.

1) the first step is cut a little hole on one end of the band.
2) pass the a string through it.
3) then thread the screw end tip to the string.
4) place the string on the vise, pull the band, that should make the band really thin.
5) enough the pass the screw tip, all the way to the band.
6) then insert the beed, in the middle of the band.
7) pull the band again then slide the tip out until it couples with the beed, squease the band to move the beed to the tip.
8) Use a grinder to shape the band tip so the wishbone can fit.
9) Ban! all done !

The real question is where to buy the screw end, I am actually looking for those my self.

I haven't got the time to search at the mo but there is definitely a similar thread on db that has links to shops selling all the components needed.

Check out this video.
Hope it helps.
