I'm looking at these spearguns for spearfishing in dorset.
Seac Sub Bolt 75cm Spear Gun - Spearguns (Rubber) - Spearfishingstore.co.uk
The other gun is a little bit shorter
Cressi Moicano Spear Gun 60cm - Spearguns (Rubber) - Spearfishingstore.co.uk
Since the visibility in the UK is so terrible, any gun I buy needs to be relatively short - making it more manuverable as fish will be close by and will only be in the sights for a moment or so.
The main fish I would be hunting would be Bass and Sea Bream and the sizes will vary quite allot.
I dunno, which would be best? if at all. I know every one will say to look it up - I have already done that.
From what i have noted Cressi seems to be a little more well known, the gun does come in 75cm but it is quite allot more expensive.
What do you think?

Hi what Gun did you go for in the end and what do you think of it? I've been eyeing up the Cressi but can't find any reviews on it

Having looked at the Cressi you are talking about, it seems to have the same handle as the Cressi Apache. I have an Apache and its great for the price but it is a budget gun and when I compare the shaft release with an Omer cayman you can tell the difference. The Cayman releases with no catching at all but with the Apache there is a tug before it releases. I am wondering if the price of the Cressi Mohicano has more to do with its looks than its components. Just a thought:D

Thanks for that. I've got a commanche and have had issues with the trigger mechanism not locking the spear in! I may try a different manufacturer next time
