In the weekend of 19-20-21/10/2012 the Apnea Academy Italian Tour (3rd outdoor competition) placed in San Marco di Castellabate.
The sea conditions were perfect.
Here it is my dive, i announced 50 mt but turned at 47 for equalizations problems cuz i had a cold.
Have fun

Could you send the complete results to ranking@apnea.cz, if possible in an Excel file?
Which set of rules was followed? AIDA or FIPSAS/CMAS? Were official judges of one of the organization present?

Hi Ivo, i'll send you the results asap since i've got only the team ranking and am going to ask for individual ranking. Rules followed were aida once and there were judges but not from fipsas/cmas or aida, as judges we have Alessandro Vergendo (the one that organize the europe evolution cup) and his wife (Rosarita), since the spiirit is to have fun and make a competition with friends we dun care about officiality and formal stuff you dun need to have the formal title of judge to act like it, since we athles knows rules so well. Even if someone will breake some aida/cmas official record we dun care since he can do it again in adida/cmas official competitions.
I like a lot this type of philosophy since you have zero stress from the competition and the amount of money needed for organize are small.
Consider we have LULU as saefty sistem that in my lil opinion is the saefest at all since you have 4 independent saefty systems working for you and athlets are followed by a camera for the entere dive.

Fabrizio, can you tell us more about the LULU safety system, and post some photos or videos, if possible? EDIT: ah, I see it now in the video in the first post - did not look at it before :) But you could perhaps tell us more about it anyway

The system is really easy but a lot efficent. The concept is this: Lulu is a weght lifter balloon but instead of PVC is made of steel, it's inflated from the surface and its able to move from the bottom to the top of the surface really quickly around 2 mt/s. The line used for the dive inside has a cable where air goes throught so, after the air is opened from the surface LULU get fulled of air and start going up and since the diver has the lanyard is carried up to the surface by LULU.
The second saefty system is made from an electric reel that takes all the system up(iincluding LULU and the diver). the speed is near 1 mt/s. Adding to those 2 systems there's a manual reel that takes everything up, the speed depends from how much effort people will put on this operation. last but not least important thing is the saefty diver that will encounter you at 25/30 mt for saefty. Lulu is the bottom plate and has a camera on it and it's connected directly to the surface so you can see live what's happening downthere, adding to that you have on one side another camera that goes up and down with the athlets and it's moved always from the surface by an operator that see live what's happening on the screen, everything is recorded and best thing is that you can organize a live streaming video suitable for tv or internet.
So it's like a big brother show eheheh and you can even rent this system from apnea academy. Actually the limit is the dept, infact they have done a line of "only" 140 mt but i think that's enough for now eheheheh.
If you would like more info you can ask to alessandro vergendo the one that organized the europe evolution cup in Lignano, dunno if you're going there, I'm and i hope to see some of you there.
