I recently purchased an Apnea Competition 60cm and looking to purchase extra spears (just in case). The Apnea has a 100cm shaft and the spear is 6.3mm, but I cannot find replacements with these exact dimensions. Other forums say any European style will do, but being new to spearfishing, I don't want to take any chances. Any help is appreciated!

Well, any length and thickness will not do but it does not need to be exact same. It should be easier to find 6.25 or 6 mm, length I would stick to the 100.

Well, generally, it is classed as a quarter inch shaft on the imperial scale, which is equivalent to 6.25 mm in the metric system. However, I find the shaft too long for the 60 cm class. Usually, an 85 or 90 cm shaft is preferable, especially when you are fishing on reefs.
