Apnea strategy

Hi,

What is the best ? Multiple short apnea with little laps of time between them or a few long breath holds?

For exemple when I do an exhale static training I have the choice between:
- 4-5 max breath holds . 1'45", 1'55", 2' , 2'05" 2'15"
or
- 20-30 times : 1'05" apnea, 15" breathing.

What is the best way to progress?

do max statics rather than sub-max repetitions. you'll be training your o2 tolerance and divereflex more. and i guess that co2 tolerance will increase naturally with that as well. i wouldn't do more than 3 times a week either.

go find those threads about no warm-up statics. interesting reading.

just some ideas,

cheers, roland
