Hello everybody :) i have been reading this forum for a while now, and i would just like to ask 2 questions (for now) first one, what are 02/CO2 tables? and the second one, just curious, how long was your static when you first started?

Thanks in advance

my problem is concentration.... the only pools i have practised in here have a million kids jumping around and peering underneath me wondering what the hell i am doing.

Mum.. look at that girl... is that suicide?

I guess i could better in a more quiet environment :D

O2 tables are training schedules to train your body to get used to low O2 levels and CO2 tables are training schedules to train your body to get used to high CO2 levels. But may I suggest to focus on relaxation first, when you are doing a static try to move your thoughts to your limps to keep them completely relaxed, one at a time, they should move with the waves you get in crowded pools ;) this way you might get to 2 mins while you think you're at less than 1 min :) also try to get a buddy if you don't have one already.

I started at 1'30" and I really don't have a clue how long I can do now, but last time (a year or so ago) I timed it I was at 4'30" or something. :)

I don't know! As children we would often 'see who could stay underwater the longest' at the swimming pool. I remember getting a digital watch when I was about eight and timing myself at fifty seconds. Now it's up to six minutes.

Some bits about tables here.

Hey akoni, thanks alot :) and I already do the relaxation, you just dont move a muscle and try to imagine yourself sinking into yourself sortof.. well thats what i try to do :D

Haha, and by the way, my first real try was 3:30. Before i used any techneqes (sorry for spelling), i could only get like 45 seconds, but that was a few years ago, before i realised that so many things depended on mind. :p

Ty for the link cornholio (nice name)

island sands, I know what you mean, exept people usualy poke me..
