Hi

I've just attached OMER Millenium footpockets to my new C4 Falcon blades. Didn't get any instructions with either component but with the great advice posted on various threads I seem to have got it right.

However, not sure about the footpocket rail's end nodules infront of the clips. Should they sit loose on the blade or be tucked into the blade's 'hooked' groove? Are those hooks/notches designed for other footpockets and redundant for OMER Milleniums? Would be grateful for any advice as want to ensure it's absolutely right

Can't wait to give these fins a try and will add my comments on the forum as it's been a big help in selecting the optium fin.

Thanks in anticipation

Ross

The notches on the C4 blades are indeed designed for other footpockets (Aquatic, Spetton, Sporasub) and redundant for OMER Milleniums?

If the foot pocket arms are properly mounted on the lateral t-profile of the blades you will be fine. Some people like to (partly) glue the arms to the assembly profile with cyanoacrylate or put some Sikaflex 291 into the pocket grooves (this is what I do).

Cheers, ulysses

Many thanks for the info. It's very gratefully received. It felt a bit like putting together an Ikea wardrobe and finding there's a bolt you didn't use! As promised as soon as I've given fins a go I'll report back on the various threads which I've used for research.

what exactly is the deal with blades fitting the new pockets with regard to screws? My old omer pockets had the two screw holes, where you'd slide the blade in and screw in to secure it.

my new omer fins have a different system, where it seems tehre is a little peg at top end of the blade, which just drops into a whole in the bottom of the pocket when its pushed in enough. hopefully that makes sense, else ill dig up some pictures.

Im just wondering if all the new blades are like taht, or if i can just make my own screw holes in the new pockets.
