Ok, ran across this artical but they did not list the source but here goes...

Inspite of the publicity given shark attacks, you are more likely to be killed by a deer than a shark. Shown is the average number people killed by various animals each year in the U.S.

DEER....................131
BEES....................43
DOGS...................14
RATTLESNAKES......10
SPIDERS...............4
SHARKS................1 ......<-----

Zippers? You're kidding, right? I'm curious to know where you got your statistics :). For more information on narfs/narves, check out the Narf? Narves? thread in the beach bar. There's an exciting new narf movie coming out soon.

My inlaws still live in Puerto Rico and while they were travling down the road at about 50 mph a coconut fell off a tree that lined the road and came right thru the windshield. Unfortunatly it missed my mother in law.

Beautiful women must count, :girlie i always got a heart pounding :p

sweet way to die nevertheless ... :inlove

Some more stats

People killed by faulty toasters world wide last year - 791
People killed by sharks world wide last year - 9

Its starting to look like your odds of being eaten by a shark are less than being struck by lightning.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but those stats are all relevant to the individual. How many people are exposed to toasters everyday? Now how many are exposed to sharks everyday? Its all relevant. If you factor in every human who will never enter the ocean to become one of those stats you get statements like yours. I am much more likely to be killed by a shark than a toaster(I dont own one), a pig, deer, ect because of my personal situation. Have fun wrapping your mind around that:)

That's the problem with saltwater - no frogs. They've got Bufo Marinus down there in Florida though - big as a catchers mitt - kill your dog if it bites it. Probably qualify as a wmd if you one of them bad boys in the microwave.

No wonder newly weds get so many toasters given to them as a present, probably people trying to bump them off.

What if you did buy someone a toaster and it killed them.

Or, bought them a little palm tree and twenty years later it dropped a coconut on their head and killed them.

What is the chances of getting killed if you are using a toaster under a coconut tree?

Now if someone gives you a toaster with a shark in it, you know what they think of you pretty accurately. At that point, you should not go near any palm trees or zippers that they might own.

Man! I'm bummed - I was thinking it'd be great to go down to florida and toast some palmetto bugs.
