Well done all. Who'd have thought it - an 8lb bass coming 4th! (Need to get one of those accurate digital scales and weigh it straight away ).

Well I have to say that an 8lb+ bass did actually win it. It's a bit like that at the moment. Bass seem to be the be all and end all. I liked to see some good specimens of other species represented. The GG, red and trigger were all good fish and worthy entries IMHO and it was quite a close thing in the end.

Interestingly, a couple of months back, based on the assumption bass is best, Sunfish choose a bass entry over his big pollack only for a whole load of people to say they would have voted for the pollack :vangry.

This months voting will again test if bass rule supreme or if something more flat will appeal (not that I'm biased or anything).

John, I forget, but you have won 2 FOM's? Was that last year and this? Last years trophies and this year are a little different. Glad you appreciate it whatever.

Yup I won the inaugural FOM last April - both trophies looking good on the bookshelf!!
