I received a great slideshow from an aussie mate and in honour of our the down under divers I thought I had to post this rather than delete it. Crusty, Shadowkiller etc. etc. enjoy...:t

What is girt?
 
....sniff...sniff... well that brought a homesick tear to the eye.

Tasmania and Queensland were remarkably accurate, although they missed Tassy's claim to fame that it is shaped like something (eg. "show us ya map of tasmania!!!) rofl

"Girt by sea" is a line from our national anthem... which seems to be the only written evidence that girt was ever a word!!
