Hey guys !

Brand new at the forum! I usually don't sign up for these things, but you seem to know your game!
My 3 friends and I are going to Portugal from the 16th to the 21 rst. We will be surfing mostly and maybe some near shore spearfishing. But we will leave from porto to the Azores, Sao Miguel, on June 22th till June 29th for just spearfishing, our dream is to catch some Tuna or Wahoo.
We looked up a lot of stuff, but was wondering if you could recommend us some locals, who share this same passion. Even a boat captain to bring us to certain spots if possible.
We have a lot of questions:
- Best island to spearfish ?
- Do we need a permit?
- How many fish per day ? Per person?

Any tips for anything, would be great help!
Thank you so much

-Yes you do need a permit(25£ a year). You can go to this building and it usually says RIAC.
-I only know about Terceira cause that's where I've been. I'd say safety wise only thing that I've come across is the moray eels up north and the jellies(man o war). Not many sharks out here really compared to the other islands. Pico and Faial or also really great to I've heard. But honestly anywhere any the Azores is awesome haha!
Hope this helped a little.
