I have an AB Biller 42 Special that I bought new almost 25 years ago. I used it for hunting rockfish while scuba diving for a few years, but it hasn't seen action in... a long time. Needless to say, I need to replace the bands. Looks like I have some options, wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I'm headed to Baja in a couple months for a week of sailing. Free diving, no scuba. Chances are the gun is going to sit for another few years after this trip.
The spear has an 8mm shaft with 3 notches. I vaguely recall that I rarely ever used the 3rd band. Should I skip it? Diameter recommendations?
