I would think the talc is just to keep them dry & to avoid surfaces sticking to each other. I talc my dried wetsuit if I think I might not be using it for a couple of weeks, as I noticed the leg surfaces occasionally stick together on the hanger otherwise (not a big problem but if left a long time and/or under pressure the bond might become permanent or require tearing apart).Spaniard said:I was told that if storing rubbers, over winter let's say, to put them in a zip-loc bag covered in talcum powder? i guess it prevents the surface of rubber from coming into contact with air????
