I have the Ab biller 36 professional (aluminum). It has 2 9/16" bands on it and i was wondering if because it is only a 2 band i could upgrade the bands to maybe 5/8" to make at a little more powerful. Just worried that this may be to much for the gun to handle. Thx
-Joe

How old is the gun? The older ones had a handle made by TD Preece, and they could take two 5/8" bands. The newer Billers have a newer handle design that can take even more, but honestly, on that gun, two 5/8" bands around 18" long would be about optimal, and either trigger should handle that nicely.

where are u diving? if u have clear water, and want more power, its usually best to get a longer gun, putting more bands on your gun will probably increase recoil and throw your shot off

Yah i have the newer style ab biller. I dont think the recoil will be too bad with 2 of the 5/8 bands. Im gonna be looking for a new gun preferably one that floats i hear a lot of good things about the wong i may go check those out. maybe the riffe. Ill have to do some more research.
For now i am happy with my gun i havent seen to many big fish but i know when i do i will wish i had a bigger one.
so 18" should be sufficient for the 5'8"?
