Band size on a 90cm speargun

So while using my OMER invictus hf 90 that has 2x 14mm bands i noticed bad penetration of the speargun. So im thinking about getting 2x 16mm bands (one 49cm and the onter 52cm). My speargun has a 6.5 pole btw. I ordered 2x 16mm elastics abd im wondering should i do 1x 14mm 1x16mm or 2x 16mm and will 2x16mm be to powerfull (I doubt). ???Thank you))

I would think adding a 16 mm band or bands would be too powerful for that gun if you're planning to run two bands. How thick is your spear shaft? Have you thought of running a single flopper and a shorter shaft?

What is too strong? The gun i bulky will hold up recoil for sure
