Band size question?

Dont worry everybody has their opinions

Any ideas how to pop my bloody ears? After diving for a certain amount of time (3+ hours) sometimes I cant pop them, sometimes I am able to. At the moment after 2 days I feel I still have water in my ears and I've tried all home remedies but nothing works!

Only getting into spearing myself now after taking freediving courses and putting it to use periodically over the past few years. But I am devouring everything online these days on hunting as my first trip including a gun is due in a matter of days.
Anyways, your eq question prompted me to a reply as I used to have a lot of trouble with my ears seizing up.
(If you are looking for advice on dive meds, I can't help. Haven't tried any.)
What I found on my latest freediving holiday was that it is extremely important not to force your ears. I knew that, everyone tells you, it's all over DB, but I mean it seriously. For me, a few late eqs in the beginning of a day could bum me out completely for the rest of the day. So, I just started taking it much slower and and eq much more often. Bascially, I would eq on the surface and then descent very slowly and eq constantly for the first three meters. I base my descent speed on my ears and not the other way around. And doing it this way, being extremely careful in the , say, first hour in the water I found that it just got better. Like my ears warmed up and it got easier. But every day is like this still - start out extremely slow.
I have to say that did trick. Though basic, I hope it helps.

All best,
David

Havent dived in over a week. I went to an ENT specialist and found out i have water behind my eardrum and a small infection. Im taking meds but nothing so far.

And I do exactly the same thing as you said when popping my ears. I was going quite often and oftenly for 4hrs so maybe i was over doing it.

Hope you are gonna get sorted, at least now know what it is...;-(

I am heading out on a freediving/spearfishing holiday myself soon so I will need to remember to heed my own advice...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
David

Hey zralu sorry for the delay in responding to your question lately. Email me on lawstraljan16@live.com and I'll give you a name and number where you can purchase it from.

Since using these specific bands I'll never go back to anything else, these bands are just awesome!
