Hello,

Which band speargun for reef at clear water (visability of few good meters),which lenght work best for this type of hunting?
Depth of 5 m,fish weight of 300-600 gr.

A spesific model be great too.

Thx

There are many brands and models that will work. If you are targeting relatively small fish, then you probably want to take the smallest gun that has a range that is consistent with the visibility. It does little good to carry a long gun that will shoot past the visibility, when a shorter gun will be quicker to swing and aim.

If you have visibility of around 12-15 feet, a 90 cm gun might be a reasonable choice. Check out our website if you are interested in reviewing our guns.

Thanks!
Dano

I bought a 60cm Cressi Apache for reef spearing. I looked at the longer ones and considering my current level of ability when it comes to down time I couldn't really consider blue water hunting just yet. It's a single 13mm banded gun, aluminum construction and seems pretty good quality. Price was right (I got a deal on one with almost invisible cosmetic damage) and it reviewed very well other than the occasional complaint from people who seemed to be misusing the gun.
