I was in Barcelona recently on a work junket and was lucky enough to meet up with Adrian and Gloria in Figueres about 1 1/2 north of Barcelona. We were only there for three days and had only one free day but I just had to get wet. I couldn't go to a country and be beside the sea with out getting in to it and this would not have been possible were it not for Adrian. The city of Barcelona is beautiful and we will certainly return for a longer visit next time.
Not having any spanish to speak of we missed our first train due to confusion of purchasing the right tickets and arrived a little later than we hoped throwing Adrian,s plans a little askew but never the less he managed to get us to Montgo ( I think thats how its spelt) for a lovely dive and have us back in time to catch the train back to Barcelona. I owe him a lot of thanks for taking the time out to look after us so well and we were sorry we could not stay longer. I have a few pics of where we were diving and will post them as soon as i get the connection set up as the camera used was my friends. The sea was as calm as a pond which was great for Nicola but I now feel she is spoiled, the first time she snorkelled was in Dahab and now in the Med so she will have a certain expectation by the time I bring her out in the atlantic ocean.
Pics to follow but a huge thanks to Adrian and Gloria for all the help and it was great to meet up with someone who I had previously only known online.

Thanks again Adrian.

What is an Irish shamrock doing on a Spaniard's fridge? Apart from giving good luck it's the result of an Irishman's visit to Catalonia. :) It was great to meet you and Nicola, and to listen to your Irish lilt, which unfortunately doesn't come across when typing. I've just finished processing the pics from the dive, and can post the pictures here.

Next time as I told you, stay longer and see some things that might make you want to live here, or at least fly down every other weekend!

In order:
- Mirror flat sea, warm temps (and around 10 meters vis underwater)
- Feargus and Nicola
- Feargus swimming through as small arch at Montgo.
