Anyone on the forum familiar with Barra Navidad? Its a port town on mainland Mexico a little south of Puerta Viarta. The reason i ask is because i am headed there the second week of December for a fish/dive trip. As I have never dove in Mexico I am curious as to what I should be looking for as far as fish and habitats.
Im familiar with blue water species like Mahi, Ono, Ahi, billfish, yellow tail and so forth but have no idea about what reef fish are edible, endangered, challenging, and so on.
Ive heard that Pargo and types of grouper are some targets.
Any information on the above would be greatly appreciated.
