Hello everyone,

I recently moved to Basel and I am desperately looking for a regular
pool training opportunity in the region.

Thanks

Marlies

Sorry for overreacting....

Oh, yes: it's an odd place for that!! I don't know how I managed to end up so far from the next nice drop off, but there must be sombody else here..... (hopefully)

Hi Manatee,:wave
I don't know how close from Basel your are looking for a training oportunity, but still if you can't find anything near, we are a group of Freedivers training in Freiburg, Germany (about 60km north of Basel). Well right now we can't train statics cause the pool is closed over christmas, but i train dynamics with a buddy weekly. And in january we will resume heavy static work
Good luck to you, i waited 2 years before i found some people enjoying the same enthusiasm for freediving !

Tchô,
Christophe

Hey Manatee,

I can't help You much with Basel, but if You ever want to hop into the lake (Bodensee, that is) You're welcome to drop by. - I hope, I'll have a decent Wetsuit soon, so I'll be able to hop along

Thanks a lot everybody!!
Whaterenthusiast: Can I join you in Freiburg for some dynamic training next week?
Thanks trux, I'll check that out!! This is really close to Basel!!

Sanso: Well I have got a nice tailored suit, but I doubt it is warm enough for a dive in winter, but I'd love to join you in summer!!!! Do you dive there in winter?

Manatee,

I don't have a winter suit - yet - but will probably get one soon. (6mm torso, 5mm arms and legs with open cell inner - hmm...) That should be about enough.

I got my scuba-brevet in a 7mm nylon-lined that wasn't soo warm, but that one didn't fit as good as a taylor-made.

I'll be in the lake as soon as the water is a bit warmer or I have an appropriate suit.
You're welcome to drop by anytime, of course
