In the coming season, id like to advance from inshore hunting(30-50ft depths) to some bluewater, wahoo, mahi, maybe even tuna. Not to get ahead of myself, I just was wondering what the average bluewater rig looks like. What size floats, 11 liter, 20 liter , tandem floats? What length float lines, wether that depends on the depth the fish are running or whether excess length is useful? Advantages and disadvantages of various breakaway rigs...basically anything anyone has to say about starting to hunt bluewater would be excellent.

Check out a thread started by Miles called "The chronicles of a blue water hunter" he uses a rig that is what a mathematician would call elegant!
