hey everyone,
i have almost no clue about SCUBA, (although i have done it) so i like to stick to freediving/spearfishing. what i would like to ask is this. is there such thing as a vest that has pockets to hold things in for freediving? im thinking that it would be like a bcd vest but without the space for the tank. i would like to have different pockets for freediving to hold things like knives, line etc. im sorry if this isnt clear to you but try your best in answering. thanks a lot.

Wear the knife where you can easily access it.
Line and other non-essential stuff put on your float, in a mesh bag with your bottle of water. no need for a combat vest in the water:)

I throw everything into my float, unless it's too big and then I just tie it on.

However, last weekend I did see a freediver with a "fanny-pack" strapped around his waist to carry stuff with him. I've never tried it but it would be cheap and easy to ditch if you needed to.

I am curious what does a freediver carry with him? a packet of Marlboro and a some matches?

Condoms, change for the parking meter, chewing gum, credit cards, etc. :duh

ok ok sorry to leave you all out there guessing but i do know that i put a knife out where u can reach it, and tie everything to your float or belt. but what do i do if i want to collect shells/rocks? what exactley would i do with them? im not gonna throw them on my stringer... haha i will let you all ponder that... by the way, are there any other knives that you can carry on your forearm besides the Riffe one? if not, how does the riffe knife perform?
