Hi all
Chatting yesterday post dive I floated the idea of a trip to Egypt early next year to do some freediving and scuba. I know someone out there with a boat who would be able to do us a good deal for a weeks liveaboard. I was originally thinking scuba but talking over the options it should be possible and safe to arrange for a line to be dropped to 30m over some of the more sheltered reefs and for us to do some recreactional diving on the line and some plain freediving over the reefs and possibly over one of two of the shallower wrecks.
Scuba would of course be available too for those who want it - and the guy who owns the boat is also fully qualified instructor/course director in all sorts of disciplines if anyone wanted to gain some new skills ou there.
Now just trying to see if anyone is interested or not - there are very cheap flights (£180 return) with BA into Hurghada from November till March so looking at doing something probably March time (when the water is warming up again) with air temperatures late twenties.
Boat hire -which includes all food and drink (not alcohol) for the week is £360 each if we can get 14 people together. I may be able to get that price down a bit further but at least you have an indicative price to work with.
So, anyone fancy it?
